Weed cupcakes may sound like something only adults would crave but they actually make tasty treats for kids and it is a great way to get some vegetables into their diet. Get ready to learn how to make marijuana cupcakes!
What are weed cupcakes and how do they work?
Weed cupcakes are small cakes that have weed baked into them so the marijuana is not too strong for children to eat, but they will still get a little high from it.
The idea of having weed in their meal sounds like an awful experience to some adults (or maybe just my mom) because you don’t want your kids getting addicted to drugs or anything; however, this actually has its benefits and can be used as a way for parents who smoke marijuana recreationally without wanting their kids around know how safe it really is when done responsibly with supervision.
What many people do not realize about pot is that there are currently over 100 different cannabinoids found inside which work together synergistically with THC more than any other drug ever discovered.
It is the reason weed has so many different medicinal benefits and can be used for a plethora of purposes ranging from fighting cancer to helping people with anxiety disorders or even PTSD as well as depression among other mental illnesses.
This means that when marijuana does get into your kid’s system (whether it’s by smoking/eating) they are not going to feel like their brain shut off but instead have an uplifting experience which is actually quite opposite to what most medication prescribed today will do for them in comparison, this includes opioids, antidepressants, etc.
The point I’m trying to make here is that cannabis might seem harmful at first glance because it’s illegal on a federal level and some states still don’t have legalized cannabis sales.
With that being said, marijuana is not the devil some people make it out to be and I’m just trying to shed light on this topic for you all so we can start a conversation about how weed could potentially help our society in more ways than one.
How to make weed cupcakes
First get out your favorite weed butter, you will need a cup of that and one egg. Mix the two ingredients together in a bowl for about five minutes or until they are nice and creamy.
Next mix in some sugar to sweeten up the batter with a teaspoon just as you would do when making other baked goods like cookies or brownies. Add vanilla extract with another teaspoon for flavor too!
Now it’s time to start baking our marijuana cupcakes by adding an additional three tablespoons of flour into your mixture before stirring well again so there aren’t any lumps left behind. Pour this mixture into muffin tins lined with cupcake papers because we don’t want to get our hands dirty from making weed cupcakes.
After that, throw in the oven and wait for about 20 minutes or until a toothpick can be inserted into the center of one of this marijuana cupcake with no resistance. Remove them from the muffin tin and let them cool on wire racks before frosting, because who likes hot buttercream?
When it’s time to add some icing we’re going to use something called cannabis-infused butter as well as powdered sugar.
To make this you’ll need just four tablespoons of your favorite weed butter plus two cups (or more) of confectioners’ sugar mixed together for at least three minutes or until all clumps are gone.
As for the weed butter, if you have a gram of bud that’s all good but I recommend using at least half as much dried trim leaves or shake from your stash to get more potent cupcakes.
If you’re looking for some kind of color contrast in your icing, add food coloring and start by adding just one drop (unless it’s red) – we don’t want purple frosting!
To make this work well with both our marijuana butter and sugar mixture we need to refrigerate them separately. That means first melting the cannabis-infused butter on its own then stir in powdered sugar until no clumps remain. While those are cooling mix up two tablespoons heavy cream , two tablespoons milk, and one egg. Pour the sugar mixture in a separate bowl with another third cup of powdered sugar and stir until it’s all blended together.
In an electric mixer fitted with whisk attachment mix heavy cream, milk, eggs on medium speed for about 20 seconds to blend together. Add flour gradually keeping mixing at low or medium-low speed just long enough so that there are no lumps left. Remove from microwave oven when the dough has risen considerably (about 30 minutes). Allow cooling for a few minutes before handling or frosting cake – should take around 45 minutes total to cool completely.
The effects of eating a cannabis-infused dessert are not instantaneous because the THC must be metabolized by your liver before it enters your bloodstream.
Healthy weed cupcakes are a delicious way to get your daily dose of the green stuff! It’s important that you read every word on this blog post before attempting to make your own pot treats.
If you’re looking for something less potent than smoking or vaping, then eating is one way to do so – but be cautious if you’re new at cooking with marijuana because there can be some serious side effects such as increased heart rate, paranoia, dizziness and anxiety among others.
Tips on using marijuana as an ingredient in cooking
- When cooking with marijuana, always use a recipe with precise measurements;
- Keep the weed on hand for when you need it – store it in an airtight container at room temperature and out of reach from children or pets; Avoid heating cannabis to high temperatures because THC boils off into vapor above 300 degrees Fahrenheit (150 degrees Celsius);
- Before ingesting any infused foods, be sure that they are properly labeled so others know what’s inside!
